The thin top layer is the replacement indicator. When the filter is fitted, you can see this layer through the lid. When it turns dark red / burgandy, it means it is time to replace the filter.
NEW anti-grease layer (white spunge). Keeps your kitchen cleaner by filtering grease from the steam.
Anti-Odour layer (black foam). This layer is impregnated with charcole, which absorbs odours efficiently.
